You will be most successful reaching someone by e-mail. Contact the membership chair or any officer, or post a message to our listserv. Members' email addresses are posted on the current membership lists, but in a way that they cannot be indexed or read by bots. Contact a member directly if you're hoping for a ride or a sailing partner!

Boathouse phone: 319/624-3785, or call The University of Iowa Campus Information (319/335-3500) and ask for a Sailing Club contact. (NOTE: The boathouse is not staffed full time. This is not the best option for finding out about the club or getting information about upcoming events.)

Listserv

Club members stay in touch by joining the club listserv sail@list.uiowa.edu.

To register: send a message to listserv@list.uiowa.edu with the words "subscribe sail" in the body of the message (without the quotes). You will receive a confirmation message; just follow the instructions. To get a list of the various listserv commands and options, send a message with the word "help" in the body of the message (without the quotes). 

Warning! There can be a lot of banter on the listserv.  Some people use a separate email account so their regular one doesn't get filled up. Not that that happens alot. It depends on the topic.

To remove your email address from the list, send a message with the words "unsubscribe sail" in the body of the message (without the quotes).

If you only want the messages in a digest form (once a day email), send a message with "set sail digest" in the body of the message (without the quotes).
