The University of Iowa Sailing Club

The Iowa Sailing Club is located on the south arm of Lake Macbride, in the University of Iowa Macbride Nature Recreation Area, just 20 minutes north of Iowa City and the university campus.

Directions: (see map below)

From downtown Iowa City:

Drive north on Dubuque Street to North Liberty and turn right on N Front St. / Mehaffey Bridge Rd.

Follow this road approximately 3 miles. You'll go over Coralville Reservoir and past Sugar Bottom, and

at the top of the hill, look for the brown sign on the right side of the road before the entrance.

Find the gate for the Lake Macbride Nature Area on the left side of the road.

The ISC boathouse is approximately 1 mile inside the park, on the right.

From Cedar Rapids,

drive south on I-380 and take the North Liberty exit (mile marker 4).

Drive east on W Penn St about two miles and at N Front St,

make a left turn onto Mehaffey Bridge Rd (County Rd F28).

Continue as described above.
