A. Commodore’s report, Erin:
The next meeting of the Executive Officers will be held Wed., evening, 7/6, at Erin’s house at 6:00.

Safety ladders to be ordered this weekend.
Life jackets not yet ordered.
Swim test may be scheduled for Friday, 7/15 (partly on behalf of members returning for the Reunion). ISC safety rule states unequivocally that S
sailors who have not passed the swim test must wear PFDs (“personal flotation devices”) while on the water.
Laminated sheets of instructions for safe operation of the jon boat, pontoon boat, and tug will soon be posted.
Recent action taken by ISC Executive Officers (at a meeting held 6/11/05) in response to misuse of ISC equipment and multiple violations of ISC Rules, Policies, and Procedures was explained to members present at the meeting.
B. 40th Reunion Leader, Jenny:
So far, 40 persons have responded to the invitation—more are expected.
So far, Saturday, Bastille Day races, will probably start with 2 fleets, one of FJs, the other of Lasers. MC scows, catamarans, and E scows will also be available.
Race committee will be assembled from Todd, Erin, Tom Weir, Jenny, Joe Fricton, and John Huntley.
Fund raising?? Jenny is preparing a pamphlet.
Saturday night party (at Steve and Jayne’s farm) will include a raffle for vintage ISC stuff, prizes, a slide show, etc.
Friday evening get-together will be held at Flannagan’s (next to Iowa River Power Company restaurant and close to the Belmont Inn where out-of-towners are staying).
C. Membership, Heather:
Former ISC members arriving for the 40th reunion and intending to sail will be asked to sign liability release forms.
An membership list updated to 7/2/05 is now available.
Membership categories will be shifted to include the “U” (for non-student, but university affiliated) category.
D. Fleet Captain, Richard:
The garage door has been fixed (“Ecce portum”).
Volunteers will be needed to help clean up and rig all ISC boats in preparation for the Reunion sailors.
3-4. There being no unfinished business, Commodore Erin proceeded to New Business.
Moved (Jenny/Forrest) to buy a Club burgee, 2’ by 3’, for approximately $57 (plus set-up costs). Motion discussed, question called, and it passes unanimously.

Moved (Erin/Huntley) that Scott Kavenagh’s offer to become Social Officer be accepted. Motion passes unanimously.
Moved (Erin/Huntley) that Kristin Ness and Sara Alford’s offer to become Publicity Officers be accepted. Motion passes unanimously.
5. Announcements, suggestions, proposals, etc.
Perhaps a week-day sailing event can be scheduled, perhaps for Thursday late afternoon.
Perhaps (weather permitting) a July 4th group sail to the north arm of Macbrfde and back can be organized.
Perhaps on July 30th ISC sailors can join North Arm Lake Macbride Yacht Club sailors (probably 4 MC scows) for a joint regatta.
Tom Hart suggests buying a more permanent tarp to shade the pontoon boat; consensus appeared to favor starting off with a cheap plastic tarp while the Club looks into costs and feasibilities of a more permanent arrangement.
This day’s informal race results were announced.
John Snider announces upcoming FJ events in the area: September 10-11, The Iowa FJ US Weekend Warrior Regatta and September 24-25 an FJ regatta in Cleveland.
Swim Test, Friday, July 15.
Exec Officers meet this Wednesday, 7/29, Erin’s house, 6:00.
Albatross nominations: to Heather for falling into the water betwixt drifting boat and solid dock; to Bill for sailing from North to South arm with neither a tack or a jibe all the way. By overwhelming decibels (with multiple votes from Sadie Hart) the coveted prize goes to Heather Clark (who can’t wear it around her neck, however, because Todd still has it.)
There being no further business, Erin adjourns the meeting at 5:20.
Respectfully submitted, John Huntley, secretary.
