Minutes from an emergency meeting of the ISC Executive Officers. 6/11/05
1. Meeting called to order by Erin Flowers, Commodore, at 7:30, 6/11/05, at her home, 1434 Oaklawn, Iowa City. Present: Erin, Bill Budelier, John Huntley, Todd Burzynski, Heather Clark, Dave Steinman, Richard Adkins.
2. Moved (by Todd / Dave) that Todd, as Safety Officer, 1) draft a letter to Josiah Ball, that outlines the infractions of Club rules involved in taking the pontoon boat; 2) communicate to Gwen Prentice (Park Ranger, Macbride State Park) the Club’s action in response to these infractions; and 3) notify both Josiah and Gwen that Josiah Ball is now persona non grata and is banned from ISC boats, boathouse, and all sailing activities from this time forward.

3. Moved (by Todd / Richard) that a committee be appointed by Erin and charged with reviewing club rules and procedures and preparing additions or clarifications to those rules if needed to forestall the likelihood of future infractions of the kind that led to this meeting.

4. Moved (by Richard / Todd) that our procedures specify that the ISC’s motorized vessels and vehicles may be used only in support of authorized and recognized ISC sailing activities; they are not to b used by anyone for private, recreational purposes.

5. Moved (by Bill / Erin) that a Club member’s certification for sailing Club Windsurfers depends on
his or her prior certification as LWH on Flying Junior dinghies.
